yep insulin will tighten the scalp, and cause inflammation, its a less often looked at reason for hair thinning, but def one that somehow most people have missed, as it majority of earth suffer from an insulin problem.
yeah I also thought the same, as insulin is often ignored in medicine too. My father in law has a heart issue due to insulin, and the doctors always focus on everything else, except insulin, as that is more diet and things you do at home, rather then medicine that they can prescribe.
Nobody wants to cut those foods out to help restore insulin fluctuating as it’s very difficult for them to do so, but definitely a big factor in terms of hair growth and hair regrowth.
Your body fights changes to diet, as the body is designed and trying to keep whatever is going on, the same. So if you force it to change main source of energy from carbs fat and sugar, to protein, it will give a fight, but takes about 2 weeks and then you feel okayish - you will still feel lower energy, and you just have to ensure that you eat enough, sometimes every 2 hours, just a few bites of lean animal protein.
I had to do that myself, and i remember i was addicted to milk tea, and every 5 minutes will walk to the kitchen to make it and forget that i was on the diet - was very difficult for me, but ended up doing it for a good 6 months.
it pees me off how doctors and current education system has never emphasized on insulin issues.
