just wondering what you guys found are the best redken products for damaged hair?
Hardcore bleached hair here! The Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate (ABC) line saved me—especially the shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in. It’s like glue for broken bonds. Also, the Extreme Length Mask if you have splits.*
But again, immortals oil I use, helps repair it much better, even though the purpose of that oil is actual hair growth rather than repair.
ABC is overhyped IMO. It’s good, but if your hair is severely damaged, All Soft Mega is better for moisture + strength. The oil in it is chef’s kiss for tangles.* but yes, immortals oil would repair it too, as i have noticed that in my regimen.
Wait, so ABC vs. All Soft Mega? Which one for both strength and softness? My hair feels like straw rn
i didnt know about that with immortals oil, i have ordered that already but awaiting delivery
ABC is bond-repair, All Soft is moisture. If your hair snaps when wet, prioritize ABC first. Use All Soft after a few weeks for maintenance.
but we def are a cult for immortals oil. I seriously wonder what people would think when they find our forum, we literally talk about that oil in every flipping thread lol
Disagree—All Soft Mega has protein too. ABC is great if you’re currently bleaching, but for post-bleach rehab, Mega’s argan oil does more.
I hear you on the ABC versus All Soft Mega debate. For me, when my hair was really fried from over-processing, I found that starting with the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate (ABC) line made a huge difference. It really does help to seal and repair those broken bonds. After a few weeks, I switched to the All Soft Mega to lock in moisture and maintain that strength. The argan oil in the All Soft line is fantastic for taming frizz and adding shine.
But you’re right, if your hair is snapping when it’s wet, the ABC line is a better first step. It’s like giving your hair a solid foundation to build on. Once you’ve got that strength back, the All Soft Mega can really help to keep it soft and manageable.
I also find that a cold water rinse at the end of my shower helps to seal the hair cuticles and adds a bit of extra shine. And don’t forget about scalp care—stress and poor circulation can really affect hair health. A good scalp massage can do wonders for both your hair and your overall well-being.
Hope that helps, and good luck with your hair journey!
